For as long as I can remember, people have been telling me about things like ‘virtue’ and ‘good deeds’. What not many people like to tell their kids, students, younger siblings or any one whom they tend to inspire is the fact, that not everyone affords to be nice. This might be so because, not many people ever realize themselves, that not everyone affords to be virtuous. Not everyone affords to be a good person. A kid who is a pick-pocket, a friend who cheats, a boss who does not appreciate, a parent who does not understand, a neighbor who is not cooperative, an old man who never smiles, they all have their reasons. Every one has a reason for being what they are. How possibly can we judge anyone without ever being in their shoes?
With this in my mind, it becomes relatively easy for me to ignore things and if need be, people too, whom I don’t like. Forgiveness however, is also an act of virtue and like I said, ‘not every one affords to be virtuous’.
